About me

I am an education researcher at University College London. I work on problems of education inequality, evidence, measurement and agency. I used to teach science (and still ocassionally do) at secondary schools in Cambridgeshire. My most recent work is about the mistake of too easily assuming the policies and practices we are putting into place in schools are informed by evidence. I’ve also written and presented at conferences about the  the moral values of science education, the history of mass standards and the objectivity of scientific measures. You can find more on my ORCID page.
